UFB comes to Diprose Miller

Diprose Miller and GeoMetrix in Te Aroha are on a mission to bring ultrafast broadband (UFB) to its Te Aroha and Morrinsville offices before the end of the year.

Director Nigel McWilliam says the towns have been waiting too long for UFB to be installed by the Government so they’re taking it upon themselves to get connected.

Last year the Government announced Te Aroha, Morrinsville and Matamata were on the UFB2 rollout plan. This was a result of a campaign led by Morrinsville Chamber of Commerce, Te Aroha Business Association, Matamata Business Association, and Matamata-Piako District Council. Together, these organisations submitted a registration of interest and a digital enablement plan to Government.

However, the rollout has no set timeline and has faced continual delays.

“UFB is essential for town and business growth. I believe it’s as important to town growth as the railway was in the 1800s,” says Nigel. “That’s why we’ve decided to partner with GeoMetrix principal director Shaun O’Neill to install the fibre cable with Chorus.”

Diprose Miller has invested in modern cloud technology to assist clients’ management reporting. Having fast, reliable internet is critical to getting the full benefits out of these platforms.

Local business owners will be invited to an event to learn more about the benefits of UFB and how they can go about installing it through Chorus.
